Solo Studies, Bk. 3

This book, the third in a series of three, is the result of the need expressed by concerned percussion instructors for repertory for the student who is making the big step from the snare drum to the drum set.  The solos in this book provide a smooth transition from the snare drum to the drum set by emphasizing technique and musical concept.  And they relieve motivation problems by providing solos that are intended to be played without accompaniment, are interesting to the player and an audience, and make very good pieces for use in a contest situation.
